Ace investor Ashish Kacholia has acquired 497,000 shares of SME firm V-Marc India through a preferential allotment. This follows the company's shareholder approval on September 12, 2024, for the issuance of equity shares on a preferential basis. On October 8, 2024, V-Marc India's Board of Directors approved the allotment of 16,35,000 equity shares at Rs 286.44 per share, totaling approximately Rs 46.83 crore.

With a rally of 362%, the microcap LCC Infotech emerged as the top gainer in FY25. Shares of the company soared to Rs 8.77 on August 30, 2024, from Rs 1.90 on March 28, 2024.

Shares of other listed cable companies - R R Kabel, KEI Industries and V-Marc India - also fell 4-5% on Thursday. Polycab, meanwhile, said that it has not received any communication from the tax department.

The company raised Rs 71.28 crore via public issue to be used mainly for setting up a new unit for house wires, fire-resistant wires and cables, aluminium cables and solar cables to expand the product portfolio.
