NCLAT approves merger of Indiabulls Real Estate and Embassy Group after setting aside NCLT order, citing valuation expertise.

Equinox India Developments Ltd. posted a net loss in the first quarter of this financial year. The real estate firm, earlier known as Indiabulls Real Estate, reported a net loss of Rs 28 crore for the quarter ended June, compared to loss of Rs 679 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, according to its stock exchange notification on Wednesday.

Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd. officially changed its name to Equinox India Developments Ltd. and the change will be effective from July 8, according to an exchange filing on the BSE.

RCF shares soared 13.21 per cent to Rs 209.69 as 4,92,91,674 shares changed hands. NFL, Shree Renuka, NBCC, IRB Infra and Zomato are some of the stocks that gained up to 20 per cent amid high NSE volumes.

Vodafone Idea has received approval from the board of directors for raising of up to Rs 2,075 crore from Oriana Investments, an Aditya Birla Group entity.

The market turned volatile around 22,500 on the Nifty 50 as it seems to have priced in the non-event. Going ahead, if index gives a strong close above 22,600, then further march towards 22,700-22,800 area is likely on cards, experts said.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd. tumbled over 10% on Wednesday after it was ordered to vacate land in Nashik admeasuring over 500 hectares by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corp.

Nifty Pharma is the best performing sectoral index in 2024 so far, after Nifty Realty Index which is up by ~10 percent on YTD basis. Nifty Pharma Index is up by ~3 percent on YTD basis.

The 30-share BSE Sensex pack rose 129 points or 0.19 per cent to trade at 69,651, while the NSE Nifty moved 51 points or 0.24 per cent up to trade at 20,952.

In the BSE Auto index, Sundaram Fastners is going to replace UNO Minda, and Jindal Stainless will replace National Aluminium Company in the Metal index.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.32 per cent up at 723.05.
