REC Ltd., formerly known as Rural Electrification Corporation, has announced the recommendation of a final dividend for the financial year 2024-25, according to an exchange filing made by the company on Thursday. The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 8. The proposed final dividend is subject to approval by shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

State-owned REC has created a subsidiary named Rajgarh III Power Transmission Limited for evacuating power from renewable energy projects in Madhya Pradesh. The subsidiary was incorporated as part of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. It will manage a 1500 MW Transmission System in Rajgarh SEZ.

PGCIL emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) for this project through a competitive bidding process conducted by RECPDCL under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

ACME Solar Holdings' shares surged 10% after its subsidiary, ACME Sun Power, secured a significant loan of Rs 3,753 crore from REC Ltd. The funding will support the development and construction of a 320 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Rajasthan and Gujarat.

REC Limited signs MoUs worth ₹1.12 lakh crore with renewable energy developers at RE-INVEST 2024 in Gujarat.

GURUGRAM, India and AHMEDABAD, India, Sept. 18, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Hygenco Green Energies Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in producing low-cost green hydrogen, announced entering into a MOU with REC Limited (earlier Rural Electrification Corporation limited) for financing Hygenco's Green Ammonia Project in Gopalpur, Odisha. The MOU was formalized during the 4th Global Re-Invest held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Azure Power has announced plans to prepay green bonds worth USD 310 million, maturing in December 2024. These bonds are linked to seven utility projects across various Indian states.
