Cochin Shipyard signed a MoU with the second-largest shipping giant, Maersk, to conduct ship repair, maintenance and shipbuilding in India, according to a BSE filing. Shares of the PSU firm has given investors over 600% returns in the last five years.

The defence sector stock fell 6.30% to Rs 1245 on BSE. Cochin Shipyard’s market cap slipped to Rs 33,990 crore.

Cochin Shipyard’s market cap slipped to Rs 35,801 crore. Total 1.02 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 13.92 crore in the afternoon session on BSE.
