Indian frontline indices conceded most of their morning gains on Tuesday to end flat. The bias was positive as they recorded their seventh consecutive gains today, thanks to yet another strong show by IT stocks even as other sectors incurred losses. Auto, consumer, metals and realty collectively dragged the markets. The BSE Sensex gained 32.81 points or 0.04% to 78,017.19, while the Nifty climbed 10.30 points or 0.04% to end the day at 23,668.65.Commenting on the day's action, Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities said that Nifty faced resistance at the previous swing high, leading to a volatile session before closing slightly lower.

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd, now commands m-cap of Rs 12,156.90 crore ($1.43 billion), as the stock climbed 494 per cent in 2024 to Rs 1,011.30 apiece against Rs 170.18 per share at 2023 end.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 25115.55.

The uptick in share price came after Time Technoplast announced that it has secured an additional order for supply of Type-IV LPG composite cylinders from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)

LGB Forge, Shradha Infraproject, Hester Biosc, Time Technoplast and Gravita India, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:00AM.

In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks were trading in the green, while 22 stocks were trading in the red.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.4 per cent up at 25368.95.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.28 per cent down at 1137.15.

Stocks including YES Bank, Nestle India, Persistent System, Amara Raja Mobility, Indiabulls Real Estate and more may remain under spotlight before the opening bell on Friday, June 21.
