Indian equity markets ended near record highs on Monday, lifted by IT stocks, as the Federal Reserve hinted at impending rate cuts. Analysts observed strong bullish momentum, with support and resistance levels indicating potential for further gains despite some counters showing weakness.

"On the hourly chart, the index has given a consolidation breakout. The RSI is in a bullish crossover on both the hourly and daily timeframes. A fresh leg of bullishness starts above 25,000, while support is placed at 24,900. If the index falls below this level, it might correct down towards 24,750," said Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst, LKP Securities.

Mahindra Group: The company said, Rajesh Jejurikar is re-appointed as the whole-time Director or executive Director and CEO for Auto and Farm Sector of the company. Anish Shah is re-appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Infosys, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Life Insurance Company, ICICI Securities, Mastek, TV18 Broadcast and Swaraj Engines are among the companies that will announce their Q4FY24 results today.

Based on the OI percentage, a total of 44 stocks were on the short-covering list which included Exide Industries, Coromandel International, Mahanagar Gas, Birlasoft, and Dr Lal PathLabs.

The BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty are expected to see a gap-down opening on Tuesday, tracking weak global cues and negative trends on SGX Nifty.

Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India with a loss of 72 points.

The Nifty50 index has breached below the key moving averages - 20 SMA (17,780), 50 SMA (17,485), and 100 SMA (17,640), says Malay Thakkar of GEPL Capital.

Key support levels for the Nifty are placed at 15,883.27, followed by 15,843.13. If the index moves up, the key resistance levels to watch out for are 15,962.87 and 16,002.33.
