Indian benchmark indices slipped around 6% each on Tuesday, a day after the blue-chip indices surged to record highs on Monday as exit polls had projected a much bigger margin of victory. MACD showed bullish trade on the counters of Solar Industries, Sobha, Phoenix Mills, and Container Corporation of India. Shares of India Cement, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Bandhan Bank, Dalmia Bharat hit their 52-week lows.
The blue-chip index NSE Nifty50 added 0.14% to 21,983, while the BSE Sensex gained 0.27% to 72,500. Both the benchmarks gained about 1% in February. In a volatile trading session on monthly derivative expiry, Nifty ended 32 points higher just above the 21-day Exponential Moving Average (21EMA). However, the prevailing sentiment appears somewhat negative from the current level.
Jindal Stainless has recently given a breakout at its all-time high level of Rs 622. This configuration hints at a potential bullish momentum in coming trading sessions.
