Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) reported a significant 54% increase in consolidated net profit for Q4FY25, reaching Rs 135 crore, driven by a 61% surge in revenue. For the entire fiscal year, net profit skyrocketed by 574% to Rs 560.04 crore, fueled by strong operating leverage and a substantial rise in average daily turnover of futures and options.

Indian equity markets ended higher for the week, with the Sensex up 1.6% and Nifty gaining 1.3%, led by largecaps. Smallcaps lagged amid rising volatility. Key triggers ahead include the US Fed rate decision, Q4 results from SBI and Kotak Bank, India-Pakistan border tensions, and crude price swings. FIIs remained net buyers and the Rupee appreciated past 84/USD.

NSE announced changes in Nifty indices constituents effective March 28, impacting various companies and stock prices.

Trading platform Dhan’s parent Moneylicious Securities posted a revenue of INR 453 Cr in H1 FY25, with a profit after tax of INR 214 Cr.

On Budget day the exchanges will carry out a full trading session just like on regular market days following the usual schedule.

MCX will hold a special trading session from 9 AM to 5 PM on February 1, 2025, for the Union Budget presentation. NSE and BSE will also remain open.
