Indian markets closed higher on Thursday as financial and energy stocks surged. The BSE Sensex rose 609.86 points to 74,340.09, while Nifty 50 gained 207.40 points to 22,544.70. RBIs $21 billion liquidity infusion and lower crude prices boosted investor sentiment.

The Nifty IT index closed 0.19 per cent up at 38145.3.

Bajaj Finance leads in absolute market capitalization growth, adding Rs 1.02 lakh crore this year, while SBI Cards and Payment Services takes the top spot in percentage terms with a 30% rise. Bajaj Finances m-cap grew by 24%, while SBI Cards 30% increase added Rs 19,127 crore. Maruti Suzuki India and Bajaj Finserv outpaced SBI Card in absolute growth, with their market caps rising by Rs 60,346 crore (18%) and Rs 51,955 crore (21%), respectively, though they trailed in percentage gains.

Indian markets closed nearly unchanged as Sensex rebounded 702 points from intraday lows, ending at 75,996.86. Gains in financials and RIL supported recovery, but weak earnings, FII outflows, and global trade uncertainty kept sentiment subdued.
