Starting February 28, 2025, 16 stocks including United Breweries and PVR Inox will exit the derivatives segment, trading only in the cash market. February 27 is the last day to trade their F&O contracts. The exclusion follows the December 20 announcement by NSE.

Bandhan Bank, UCO Bank, Natco Pharma, Ircon International Ltd, IRCTC, ACC, BEML, Titagarh Rail Systems and Tanla Platforms were among BSE MidSmallcap 400 companies hitting their 52-week lows today.

Shares of ITC Hotels Ltd., Cipla Ltd. and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. were the top gainers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks on Tuesday. Among the losers were shares of Trent Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd., Titan Co., and NTPC Ltd. The benchmark indices traded lower throughout Thursday before closing in the red.

This announcement comes after a previous decision to add six companies to the F&O segment, namely Castrol India, Gland Pharma, NBCC, Phoenix Mills, Solar Industries, and Torrent Power.

PVR Inox shares hit a 44-month low of Rs 1,154, declining 8 per cent on the BSE in Tuesday's intra-day trade in an otherwise firm market, driven by growth concerns. The stock has slipped 23 per cent from its December high of Rs 1,620, touched on December 5, 2024. It has fallen below its previous low of Rs 1,203.7 from June 4, 2024, and is trading at its lowest level since May 2021.

The NSE of India will include six new stocks in the Futures and Options segment from January 31, 2025. The stocks are Castrol India, Gland Pharma, NBCC, Phoenix, Solar Industries India, and Torrent Power. Details about market lot and scheme of strikes will be announced on January 30, 2025.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.38 per cent at 43508.85.

In the Nifty 50 index, 39 stocks were trading in the green, while 11 stocks were trading in the red.

Zota Healthcare, Goldiam Intnl, Cantabil Retail, UPL (PP)and Indraprastha Med, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:49AM.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.62 per cent at 50229.10.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.82 per cent at 23261.90.
