Indian equity markets ended near record highs on Monday, lifted by IT stocks, as the Federal Reserve hinted at impending rate cuts. Analysts observed strong bullish momentum, with support and resistance levels indicating potential for further gains despite some counters showing weakness.

Indian benchmark equity indices Nifty and Sensex ended flat in a highly volatile session on Friday, while global markets advanced after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell stated that "the time has come" to reduce interest rates.

"On the daily charts, we can observe that Nifty has managed to close above the 40-day average (24138). India Vix has cooled off and there has been a significant improvement in market breadth. All these parameters are suggesting that the Nifty is likely to witness continuation of the pullback. On the upside, 24520 – 24550 is the immediate hurdle while 24000 is the immediate support zone from a short term perspective," said Jatin Gedia of Sharekhan.

Hrishikesh Yedve of Asit C. Mehta Investment, said, "Nifty witnessed heavy selling pressure after forming a spinning top pattern and ended with a red candle. A strong break below 24,000 will likely trigger further selling pressure in the index. On the downside, 23,300 and 23,000 will provide significant support for Nifty in the immediate term."

Power Finance Corp, Vedanta, Tata Power, Britannia Industries, TVS Motor, Bosch, Shree Cement, Solar Industries, Lupin, Linde India, PB Fintech, PI Industries, Berger Paints, Gujarat Gas, and others will announce their June quarter results.

Domestic equity benchmark index Nifty50 closed at a record high for the fifth consecutive session on Thursday, surpassing the 25,000 milestone for the first time, following signals from the US Federal Reserve of a potential rate cut in September.

According to Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, the Nifty formed a small-bodied candle after a bearish engulfing pattern, hinting at a temporary pause in the market. The Relative Strength Index indicates a potential shift towards bearish sentiment. The 24,550 level is a crucial resistance, with a breakthrough potentially sparking a significant rally.
