Indian equity indices rose on the hopes of a positive US debt ceiling negotiation outcome, with the Nifty gaining over 100 points to close above 18,300. IT stocks rebounded but remain weak and watchful investors anticipate the benefits of the US FOMC minutes to be released on Wednesday. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq rose, while the pan-European STOXX 600 index edged up 0.04%, and Germany's blue-chip DAX slipped 0.2%, after hitting an all-time high in the previous session.

Indian equity markets are poised to take cues from both domestic inflation data and the results of the Karnataka elections today. Nifty has seemingly plateaued in the last four days and is now awaiting fresh triggers for its next move. The drop in consumer inflation, reaching an 18-month record low, may shape market expectations on how the Reserve Bank of India will adjust rates next month. Analysts predict that the upswing has confirmed "a strong reversal," with the index poised to breach its 18800 all-time high soon.

Anand Rathi is bullish on Poonawalla Fincorp has recommended buy rating on the stock with a target price of Rs 417 in its research report dated March 31, 2023.

In the Nifty 50 index, 38 stocks ended in the green, while 11 stocks closed in the red in today's trade.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services recently initiated coverage on Poonawalla Fincorp with a 'buy' rating and a target price of Rs 350 per share

Based on the open interest future percentage, here are the 82 stocks including JK Cement, Deepak Nitrite, Shree Cements, Dalmia Bharat, and ACC, in which a short build-up was seen.

Sunayana Investment Company bought 38,05,678 equity shares in chemicals company Vikas EcoTech at Rs 2.26 per share on the NSE.

Rohit Singre, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, said the Doji candle signalled indecision in the market. "The overall structure will be positive as long as the index holds the said level with an upside hurdle in the 16,320-16,400 zone," he said.

The short-term downward correction in the Nifty seems to have been completed and the June 18 low of 15,450 could be an important support, Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities has said.

The key support levels for the Nifty are placed at 15,397.1, followed by 15,358.5. If the index moves up, the key resistance levels to watch out for are 15,472 and 15,508.3.

Manish Hathiramani, Technical Analyst at Deen Dayal Investments, said, a breach of the 15,300 level can open up doors for 15,550-15,600 levels.
