According to data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Amazon, via its investment arm Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings, sold approximately 44 lakh shares, or a 4% stake, in Mumbai-based Shoppers Stop. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 627.60 each, resulting in a transaction value of Rs 275.89 crore.

Ecommerce major Amazon has exited Shoppers Stop by selling nearly 4% stake in the retail chain for INR 275.88 Cr via a block deal.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.4 per cent at 42762.05.
