Shoppers Stop Q4 Profit: Shoppers Stop reported a significant 91.4% drop in consolidated profit for the March quarter, landing at Rs 1.99 crore, despite a slight 1.68% increase in revenue to Rs 1,064 crore. For FY25, net profit also declined by 86% to Rs 10.89 crore, although revenue from operations rose by 7.2% to Rs 4,627.64 crore.

More than 40 companies are scheduled to share their performance for the quarter and financial year ending March 2025 on Tuesday, April 29. Some of the prominent names include Ambuja Cements, Tata Group’s Trent, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), among others. Through financial results, investors and analysts will learn about these companies’ revenue growth, profit margins, cost trends, and overall financial health.

Both the benchmark Sensex and Nifty were trading higher at noon on Tuesday. At 12:30 p.m., the NSE Nifty 50 was up 0.3% at 23,240 level and BSE Sensex by 0.37% near 76,800. From Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Shoppers Stop Ltd., and Indian Overseas Bank to Adani Green Energy Ltd., these are the stocks that moved the most.

Shoppers Stop shares climbed 10.81% to Rs 688 against the previous close of Rs 620.85 on BSE. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 6,954 crore.

Shoppers Stop share price: The company experienced an 11% increase in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 13.79 billion. Premium products accounted for 64% of the total revenue for the quarter, reflecting a 9% growth compared to the previous year.

Stocks including Adani Green, Vedanta, IRFC, Adani Energy, Welspun Corp, Premier Energies, Innova Captab, J&K Bank and more will be in the spotlight on Wednesday, January 15.

Shoppers Stop Q3 Results: Shoppers Stop reported a significant 41.7% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 52.23 crore in Q3 of FY25 compared to the previous fiscal's similar period. The department store chain also saw its total income rise by 12.9% year-on-year to Rs 1,402 crore, while total expenses for the quarter stood at Rs 1,329.16 crore.

Stocks including HCL Technologies, Life of Insurance Corporation, Angel One, Bharat Electronics, Indian Hotels, HDFC AMC, JSW Energy and more will be in the spotlight on Tuesday, January 14.

India's Q2 2024 earnings season disappointed. Many profit-making companies reported losses. Nifty earnings grew at the slowest pace since June 2020. Analysts point to a slowdown in several sectors. However, experts predict a recovery in the second half of the fiscal year. Increased government spending and strong festival demand are expected to boost growth.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.4 per cent at 42762.05.
