Capital markets regulator SEBI has slapped a fine of Rs 10 lakh on brokerage firm Angel Broking Ltd for alleged violation of regulatory norms. Angel Broking Ltd (now known as Angel One Ltd) is a Sebi-registered stock and commodity broker. The firm is listed on both the bourses -- BSE and NSE.

A host of factors have dragged broader Indian indices -- BSE Midcap and Smallcap.

Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities says the short term trend of Nifty continues to be negative and there is a possibility of some more weakness in the next 1-2 sessions before showing any convincing upside bounce from the lows.

Technical analysts believe investors should now wait and watch while avoiding hasty trading decisions.
