The Nifty Auto index closed 1.66 per cent up at 23114.1.

The Nifty Bank index closed 0.63 per cent up at 54610.9.

Bharat Seats, BSE, Reliance Naval & Engg, SRF and Aster DM Health, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.33 per cent down at 21462.45.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.12 per cent up at 865.15.

Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto, Grasim Inds. and RIL were among the top losers on NSE in today's trade.

The Nifty IT index closed 0.14 per cent up at 35920.3.

Motilal Oswal projects muted Q4FY25 earnings, with just 2% YoY growth for the Nifty 50, citing sectoral drags from Oil & Gas, Cement, and Real Estate. While the near-term outlook remains weak, the brokerage remains optimistic about long-term prospects and sees recent market corrections as buying opportunities, recommending large-cap and select mid- and small-cap stocks for investors.

Indian chemical and auto stocks, including Navin Fluorine, PI Industries, and Bharat Forge, fell up to 6% following the U.S. administrations 26% blanket tariff on Indian imports.
