Domestic benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed at fresh record highs on Wednesday, driven by gains in banking and energy stocks. Sensex rose 256 points to settle at 85,169, while Nifty added 64 points to end at 26,004. Despite the highs, market capitalization of all listed companies on the BSE declined by Rs 83,219 crore.

Zee Media clarifies that it had no relation beyond TV appearances with external guests involved in trading activities on Zee Business Channel. SEBI has not passed any Order against the Company.
"As a part of review of the surveillance action, the price band are revised in the various scrips. The revised price band will be effective from June 7, 2023," the exchange said.

As many as 138 stocks on the BSE hit fresh 52-week highs while only 9 stocks hit new lows. On the other hand, 57 stocks on the NSE were seen trading at fresh 52-week high values.
BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading nearly 1.5 per cent up on Thursday, a day of weekly F&O expiry, on the back of buying index heavyweights such as Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL)
In the last week, BSE Sensex shed 2,185.85 points (3.57 percent) to end at 59,037.18, while the Nifty50 fell 638.55 points (3.49 percent) to close at 17,617.2 levels.
