Q4 FY2024 Results Today: Honeywell Automation India, Dixon Technologies (India), Bharat Seats, Mankind Pharma, Power Finance Corporation, Jindal Stainless, and LIC Housing Finance are among the 84 companies scheduled to release their quarterly earnings on May 15.

Support for the Nifty is seen at 22,000 and 21,700-800 levels. On the higher side, the immediate resistance for the Nifty is at 22,150-175 levels, followed by 22,300-350. Overall, the coming week should set up the market for a large trending move.

The Indian rupee touched record low 83.57 during the week and ended marginally lower at 83.47 on April 19 against its April 12 closing 83.42.

On March 14, smallcaps clocked a smart recovery with the BSE Smallcap index gaining over 3 percent, after losing 12 percent since February 19, when the index peaked out.

In this week, the Indian rupee lost some ground against the US dollar, as domestic unit fell 11 paise to close at 83.03 in the week ended February 9 against the February 2 closing of 82.92.

Nifty found support at the 20DMA for the second day in a row, on Friday. The trend could weaken if it decisively drops below 21,690. A decisive fall below 21,690 may trigger a correction towards 21,500, says Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst, LKP Securities.

Among broader indices, BSE Midcap, Smallcap and Largecap indices fell 1.6 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.

On the sectoral front, Nifty Media index shed 10 percent, Nifty Realty index down 4.5 percent, Nifty Bank index fell 2.6 percent, and Nifty PSU Bank index down 2 percent. On the other hand, Nifty Pharma index up 1.7 percent.

BSE's Sensex tanked 1,053.10 points, or 1.47 per cent, to settle at 70,370.55, while NSE's Nifty50 nosedived 333 points, or 1.54 per cent, to end the day at 21,238.80 for the day.

Biggest losers on the Nifty were IndusInd Bank, Coal India, ONGC, Adani Ports and SBI Life Insurance, while gainers were Cipla, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Hero MotoCorp

Among sectors, healthcare, information technology and metal were up 0.4 percent each, while the oil & gas index was down 0.5 percent

Sensex, Nifty updates on 03 October 2023 – Indian shares closed lower on Tuesday, dragged by auto stocks on mixed sales data in September, while concerns over elevated interest rates also weighed on sentiment. The NSE Nifty 50 index settled 0.56 per cent down at 19,528.75, while the S&P BSE Sensex fell 0.48 per cent to 65,512.10. Auto stocks fell 1.20 per cent, dragged by Eicher Motors shedding 2.68 per cent, among the most on the blue-chip Nifty 50, after its September motorcycle sales fell 4 per cent.

The BSE midcap index added 0.7 percent and smallcap index rose 0.5 percent.
