Benchmark BSE Sensex retreated over 10% to 52,541 on June 15, 2022 from 58,569 on March 31, 2022. But some stocks continued to do well.

Indian benchmark indices reversed early morning gains on Thursday on the back of weakness in index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL), Bajaj twins, Asian Paints and Hindustan Unilever (HUL). The S&P BSE Sensex was down 200 points or 0.38% to near 53,535 while the Nifty 50 index gave up 16,000.

Indian benchmark indices held marginal losses in noon deals as Asian Paints and IT stocks witnessed selling pressure. Private banking stocks, however, traded with firm gains. The BSE Sensex was down 200 points at 53,846, while the NSE Nifty 50 slipped below the 16,100 level.

Benchmark indices extended gains on Monday on the back of buying in auto and construction stocks. The BSE Sensex rose over 450 points or 0.84% to 54,782, and the NSE Nifty 50 gained 104 points to 16,370.

Recovering from steep correction in the previous session, benchmark indices sharply on Friday amid strength in Asian markets and US equity futures. The BSE Sensex rose over 1,200 points and was seen testing the 54,000-mark, while the NSE Nifty 50 index climbed nearly 400 points and was within striking distance of 16,200 level.

Indian equity markets were trading red on Wednesday as benchmark indices gave up early morning gains in noon deals. The BSE Sensex was down 114 points at 54,203, and the NSE Nifty50 fell 25 points to 16,233.

Indian benchmark indices pared gains in noon deals on Monday, owing to weakness in select index heavyweights like Infosys and ITC. The BSE Sensex which touched an intraday high of 53,428, was up around 200 points near the 53,000-mark. The NSE Nifty 50 was up 50-odd points.

Indian equity markets on Friday bounced back slightly from Thursday's rout as the key benchmark indices were trading higher amid high volatility, mixed global cues. In noon deals, the BSE Sensex was up 600 points to 53,550, while the NSE Nifty 50 was around 16,000 level.

The key indices were choppy in trade, in line with global markets ahead of key macro-economic data. While S&P BSE Sensex fell more than 800 points, NSE Nifty 50 dived below 16,000 support zone to hit a low of 15,992

While the benchmark looked to beat the losing trend, as many as 68 stocks on the BSE were down at their 52-week lows and 47 traded at fresh highs.

Indian equity markets continued to trade in the red on Monday amid weak global cues. A total of 88 stocks hit 52-week high on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while 121 scrips were at fresh lows intraday.

The key benchmark indices continued to reel under selling pressure on Friday, tracking weakness in global markets. The BSE Sensex fell over 1,000 points to 54,668, while the NSE Nifty shed 316 points to 16,366.
